Pacu is a type of fish originating from the Amazon River with the scientific name Colossoma brachypomum. Pacu is commonly raised in the Central and Southern regions of Vietnam. Pacu, also known as Red Pomfred (Red pacu), is shaped like a sea pomfret. The fish meat is delicious, has high sweetness and thin belly. Pacu is most delicious when it reaches a weight of 500gr to 800gr. Because of its deliciousness, Pacu is imported a lot and is increasingly popular in many countries around the world.
We export thousands of tons of Pacu. It is widely imported in West African countries, West Asia, some European countries, Japan, Korea and Australia. Pomfret fish raised in Vietnam is more delicious than in other parts of the world, so it is very popular with importers.
